Aria Rajasa - Web Designer Jakarta. Indonesia

My view on Web Design, Technology, Start-ups, Apple, Life..

Sudah kurang lebih seminggu ini upload speed gw goes haywire.. as in next to nothing. Like the title said, 178 Bytes upload speed… +sigh+ Download speed si ga terlalu masalah, overall lebih lambat tapi ya ok la. I tried uploading to a local server dan sudah 14 jam, tidak bisa mengupload a measly 7MB of zip file.

Mo nunjukin screenshot juga, ga bisa ngupload screenshotnya ke flickr… ni kalo gw upgrade ke 784 lebih ok ga ya?

  • A new site for a new year for CakePHP team as they go and release their latest CakePHP PHP Framework version 1.2. Now they have a showy slide animation upfront and a better color usage and alignment. Got to say, it blocks my migration plan to Code Igniter :D

Moreover on the Ajax world, Ext JS seems to arrived on a 2.0 version and also goes for a new and animation-showy site. Interesting..

Will definitely check those 2 frameworks as soon as I have an appropriate project :D

    NetNewsWire is now FREE!!

Yup, the best RSS Reader for Mac is free! I was using the lite version of it, but now i’ll be using NetNewsWire 3.1 :D It’s so nice for the developer to make it free for us. Owh and their windows version of the RSS Reader called FeedDemon are also available freely :D

After reading the blog and their F.A.Qs, apparently they have concluded that making the RSS clients free would dramatically increase the use of RSS and of course resulting in more demand for Enterprise RSS solution in which of course is the core business of Newsgator, the maker of NetNewsWire and FeedDemon.

Glad to have a win-win solution for everyone like this :D Now, how about making MarsEdit 2.0 Free :D

  • My Macbook Halo Edition :D

Finally my Halo Laptop Sticker arrived, I got this from one of Kaskus seller and pretty please with the result. I printed 2 pictures, 1 is Halo (That pic above) and the other is Zelda. Turns out that a photo realistic quality goes blur on sticker print, ow well.. the Zelda looks good (in which ojo will be using).

I kind of miss the edge and cut it too deep, ow well it’s my first try. Will be more careful in the next try, I’ll order my next one as soon as I can think of a great wallpaper pic to put it :D

  • Kamehameha Day

Been watching Dragon Ball GT again this week and it’s still a nostalgically good, I watch the Android 17 Saga and are now watching the Shadow Dragon Saga. I just love it when Goku finish the opponents with a big bang of Kamehameha.

But have you ever wondered what Kamehameha means? Well, I did a little digging on wikipedia and found out that there’s a holiday called Kamehameha Day. A day to commemorate Goku? no, not really.. Kamehameha Day (June 11th) is a day to commemorate The Great Kamehameha, the first King of Hawaii.

Surprise? so am I. Whether Akira Toriyama gets the name from this king or not, it sure is fun to know this :P

  • Yes.. It’s been lame on the Nintendo DS because all the good games are still japanese only, so here’s my list of 10 games to re-play while waiting for games like Final Fantasy IV Remake, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and more:

And no, I don’t recommend re-playing Zelda and the Phantom Hourglass because one time of it was so great that a second time would ruin it. But I do have an urge to sell my old DS for a new DS: Zelda Edition!! Why? because it’s gold and it has a triforce! I’m just a sucker for these :P Here’s a pic for you to see:
