J.Co Is A Local Brand?

After seeing this article about J.Co being an not-so-international franchise, I decided to google it myself. The funny thing about the search that I made is that.. well.. all the first page result shows J. Co in indonesia.

If I search McDonalds, than it would show me www.mcdonalds.com which is the international website of McDonalds (even though it’s not so great in design, but that’s not the point), and it would hold the same for other franchise. But J.Co? well.. no international site here.

And then I decided to visit the J.Co official website and there I see a site with big pictures and blinking “Opening Soon Senayan City Mall Taman Anggrek”. Hm.. judging from that alone could explain whether it’s international or not. And from the Location section, all of the location are in Indonesia. Nuff said.

So guys, if you think that J.Co are an International brand then I would like to see some prove of it. It really resembles Krispy Kreme in some ways, but then again it’s never illegal to imitate other peoples’ business model.

But hey! the J.Co Donuts is still great, I especially love Al Capone and Choco Loco. I don’t really care if it’s an international brand or an Indonesian one, I still love it :D
