On my 22nd birthday, my secretary in affair gave me a book entitled iCon. It’s an unofficial autobiography of Steve Jobs that reveals the life of him in the way that even he himself would hate.. And that’s the reason why it’s interesting.
As I read on, I discovered a lot of resemblance which most of it unfortunately.. wasn’t on his good side. I was a rebellious youth who was never satisfied with how the world goes around and always were a trouble maker. I caused a lot of trouble and never was productive in any way, but then again my life wouldn’t have be interesting without it
It’s amusing to know that your life started out similar to some famous dude
let’s just hope that it also goes on similar ![]()
On the interest of that rebellious soul, I felt the urge to read on and discovered another interesting soul: Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs’s quite-unique-of-a-friend. Both Steves have a funny way to see things in life, not necessarily in the same way, but quite interesting to look at. They were united with their love of computers.. yeah.. geeky.. but anyway, Steve Jobs have a vision of a perfect computer for everyone and reach out for that dream, and Wozniak had the urge to built one.. just out of curiosity ![]()
As they make their success, Wozniak bailed out. This is the funny part, he just stray from the path of Steve Jobs because he doesn’t want to hire and fire people (he just doesn’t wanna hassle with people..), he just want to build a computer because that’s the thing he loves the most.. funny.. but then again that’s a choice of his.
Reminiscing back on why I founded Rajasa, I rather felt the similarity with the choice that Wozniak had chosen many years ago. In difference that he left when he’s going up, I stayed and make my own path.. just so I can keep on doing the things that I love the most. I founded Rajasa because I wanted to keep designing without people telling me what to do. So basically, the reasons behind Rajasa are my sky-high pride and ego, and my love for design.
The way I run my business was also based sincerely by my ego and my love. My ego drives me on learning things I never really had talents in, which include marketing and branding, sales, taxing, business, management, people skills and even technical stuffs like UML, animation, flash and 3D. It’s quite ironic how your troublesome egocentric attitude can lead you to things you never thought you could do.
So what’s the conclusion and moral value of this story boys and girls?? the conclusion is.. GW GANTENG BANGET!!! WAKAKAKAKA.
~noReally, gw emang ganteng banget!
