Beberapa minggu yang lalu gw ngontak KaosKojo karena tertarik mau membeli kaos Mac yang mereka punya, sayangnya si sold out 
Tapi akhirnya gw mengusulkan kalo akan bagus juga bila desain tersebut dimasukkan ke gantibaju.com. Tampaknya dia cukup tertarik dan mengontak langsung untuk ketemuan, ya ngobrol-ngobrol aja si sesama pencinta kaos.
Akhirnya hari ini ketemuan di brewww, pertama si kita membahas kerjasama antara Gantibaju.com dan KaosKojo. Seru juga kita membahas termin kerjasamanya yang ternyata bisa membuka potensial untuk mempersatukan kedua komunitas yang kita punya sekarang. Kata saingan tidak pernah disebutkan dalam pembicaraan ini, kami sama-sama pencinta kaos dan kami sangat mencintai Indonesia, wajar dong kalo kita saling bantu.
Ngalor-ngidul lah kita ngomong sampai akhirnya jadi malah ada rencana untuk membuat event gede-gedean. Kompetisi kaos terbesar di Indonesia? Kenapa tidak! Dengan tema “Indonesia Go Green!”, hadiah total kurang-lebih 20jt, didukung langsung oleh FDGI dan pemenangnya akan dipamerkan langsung di Senayan City sebagai promosi langsung terhadap kampanye “Indonesia Go Green” dan juga ajang berjualan secara langsung tentunya. Lebih gilanya lagi, rencananya mau dilaksanakan agustus! Wakakak, seneng gw dikelilingi orang gila yang berani mengambil resiko.
Rencananya si 2 mingguan ini mo menggodok proposal dan presentasi untuk kita nanti keliling mencari sponsor. Jujur.. even I find this crazy, but what the hell.. I LOVE doing crazy stuffs! XD Semoga saja event ini bisa dilaksanakan dengan baik

I’ve been assigned by my boss at dental-focus to work on a free wordpress template as a promotional campaign for their web design agency. Here’s the first of that template, which is free to download and use The theme’s name is Note of Colors, thx for @kapkap for the name!

It’s been a while since i let myself go wild and design something that comes out of my own guts (er.. i mean creativity). But last friday my boss gave me a peculiar task: make a free wordpress template, and all the design decisions are on me.. all me! Of course I was more than happy to do it, it’s been a while since I have time to make one and now I can work on it on my billable hours. How cool is that!
Well, since i feel that I’ve been rusty these past months because I’m designing everything based on client’s specs most of them are just minimalistic, simple design. I can’t really put all of my creativity in a client’s work, not that I’m complaining, but for sanity purpose.. I need a better challenge. So I decided to design something that’s different, something that’s definitely not me, something nice of course, just totally not me?
Why? Well, Boy Avianto asks the same thing and here’s why:
1. I needed something new
2. I want to know how far my imagination can get me without any restraints, even the restraint of my own taste
3. The need to elaborate on what i called: “my own design”
In short, it’s a break of habit, an evolution, or probably just something I need to do once in a while.
So, how’s the experience you say? Well it’s refreshing, contradicting and fun all at the same time. I achieved my purposes (based on the opinion of my twitter and plurk friends), I gain something new and I sure am elaborating my own style of design. Opening myself to further changes.

A couple of days ago I had a chat with Chandra Marsono at Sushi Tei Plaza Indonesia, my partner on the last seminar take. He introduced me to Melda, a professional EO that will help us plan and organize a bigger seminar than the last one.
Ok, another seminar? Well, why not? The momentum is there and it’s been fun doing it. So let’s just top it up a notch and see where it could take us We starts by planning the next seminar in Bandung, ranging from 150-200 participants. It’s quite a big leap considering the last one was only 30. But hell, we’re just THAT confident!
After Bandung, we’re going on road shows around Indonesia! Solo, Jogja, Semarang and maybe even Bangka, Lombok and Bali (this is just me trying to have a free vacation :P). Call me crazy but I think we can pull it off +big evil grin+
Chandra got Oxford for the certificates, and we’re running on the flag of Ruangfreelance.com. To tell you the truth, I’m not in it for the money. But more on the expose of Ruangfreelance.com and of course Arusmedia as it’s parent’s company but profit do comes in mind. Not much, but at least I can travel AND get paid for it Expect more pictures on flickr!
Owh we’re also planning on additional educational materials like technical workshops (flash + flex workshop anyone?) and alike to provide more beneficial needs to the participants. But it’s still in the talks (heck, everything IS still in the talks).
Everything started with a phone call from Chandra bringing a crazy idea, it continued with another phone call not so long after the last seminar. Would be looking forward on where this opportunity would take me.

Seneng juga akhirnya bisa keluar ni fitur, udah nunggu-nunggu dari lama juga. Widget ini berfungsi buat designer yang ingin mempromosikan desainnya langsung di website/blog-nya dia sendiri. Harapannya si biar dapet vote lebih banyak 
Tampilannya kayak di bawah.
Menarik ga? Kasih masukan dong baiknya gmana.. gw jujur masih lom puas. Masih mo tweak2 lagi.

Akhirnya setelah 6 bulan planning dan pending-pending akhirnya jalan juga ni satu proyek Seneng banget si dengan perkembangannya gantibaju.com. Dalam 3 minggu sudah lebih dari 300 desainer yang bergabung! dan dari 300 desainer tersebut 66 desain sudah masuk. Harus diakui bahwa banyak juga desain yang ditolak karena berbagai alasan, tapi senang sekali melihat partisipasi yang sangat positif.
