I stopped smoking starting from 30th of March and haven’t had a single smoke from then on. I stopped smoking that day because at that morning I woke up, I woke up breathless.. as in I can’t breath normally, my lungs is not working as expected and I gasped over and over again. It went on for about 5 minutes and it sure is painful! Maybe it was my ashtma getting worse or maybe I smoked too much the day before but one thing I know. I never wanted to experience that again.. ever.

So why do I say that smoking is financially stupid? Well, first of all I’m getting married this year and after marriage, even small expenses cannot be taken lightly. So there it was, smoking expenses, on my budget list. Here’s my count:

I smoke 2 pack a day, let’s say it cost Rp. 10.000,- each, so one day equals 2 x 10.000,- = Rp. 20.000,-
Multiply that by 30 for a month = Rp. 600.000,-. Ok, it’s bigger than I thought..
Now let’s multiply that by a year: 600.000,- x 12 = Rp. 7.200.000,-

Wow! With that money, I can upgrade my iPhone every year! or buy an iPad and still have a surplus :P Now let’s see I’ve quit for 2 months which means that in 10 months I can justify myself on buying a new iPhone that steve is announcing this June! Ahahaa :D

So yeah, smoking is financially stupid :)
